I do not really like leasing things. At the moment the company is trailer leasing and I have been looking in to the option of stopping this and buying something. I know that with leasing it means that you get certain advantages but I feel that it is just paying money for something all of the time, when you could probably buy it a lot of times over if you pay for it and own it. I know that it means that you have to come up with a lump sum of money which is the main problem. Saving money in the long run will mean shelling out a lot in the short run. It does mean that many people just cannot consider the option at all and many people prefer storage container rental anyway because they do not have the same attitude as me with regards to rental. My company has not got tonnes of money and I rather think that they are leasing because they have cash flow problems rather than for any other reason. I think that they might be hoping to have a sort through soon as well and get rid of some of their things and paperwork and maybe be able to free up some space so they no longer need so much storage.
