Why does my back always need to be scratched where I cannot reach the itch? You know that’s one of the things I file on my list of bizarre quirks of nature that Edgar Allen Poe called “The Imp Of The Perverse”. It’s also called “Murphy’s Law”, and its like “Everything that is possible to go wrong WILL go wrong in the worst possible place at the worst possible time.” Like for instance on the beautiful summer day when you have lots of time and a good spare tire in the trunk you will almost never have a flat. But if it’s pouring rain, you are late for work and you have no spare, THAT is when you will get a flat tire. This is TOO BIZARRE. Over the years I have checked this and it’s uncanny how many times it proves out. Lots more than 50-50. Like if you have 2 sets of keys in your pocket, you will almost ALWAYS pull out the WRONG set when you go to open your door, etc. WEIRD, and a PAIN IN THE ………….. Because all the places that itched that you could reach stopped itching because you itched it! Thus the areas that still itch can’t be reached. ;) …………… …same reason the bolt, while working on the car, IF DROPPED… always falls to the exact center under the car. »

Digital camera, Olympus Stylus 8.0 mp questions?


I’m thinking today I’m gonna go get this one, it’s also water, shock, dust proof. 3X zoom. But do I need to up grade the memory card? And if so to what? I had a camera for years and it’s finally broke, a friend of mine put a different card in it and it was better, I’ve no clue what to do or just us the one that come with it???? And have you heard any good or bad about this camera?

 

In general the Olympus Stylus models have been very good quality and a good value for the $$$. You didn’t provide a specific model number so I cannot comment on the camera you are interested in but here is a link to web site that provides good, objective reviews of digital cameras. Check out the section of the review called Steve’s Conclusion for a quick summary of the camera features and good/bad points.

You will want to get an extra xD memory card, about 1GB will usually be good capacity for an 8 mp camera.

It is also recommended to get a spare battery for the camera so that you can charge one while using the other in the camera.
